The ultimate gift we can receive is the joy that comes from giving to those in need.

And we've found that one of the best presents our kids have received... is the experience they get by helping others less fortunate than ourselves.

This past Christmas was no exception, and, in our December newsletter, Marilyn and I reminded everyone on our email list of the "opportunities" to help others.

Being a mom is tough - I've watched Marilyn in action and I get dizzy, or just downright exhausted!
Hang in there, it is worth every "warm and glowey" moment... (I know that real ladies don't "sweat" - they just get "warm and glowey").

Pat Weber -
Weber Farms...Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07980994804921896644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3273800057741815241.post-58877034653958211992010-01-07T15:18:05.156-05:002010-01-07T15:18:05.156-05:00I don't know if you remember me (& my user...I don't know if you remember me (& my user name will NOT help) - but my name is Dana & I work with Julia. I was the witch at her Halloween party - and apparently the waterboy for your girls :)

Anyway, I dreamed about one of them last night - I think maybe it was Evie (she says as if she has ANY clue LOL). I was holding her at some gathering. Mostly we were just snuggling - it was nice. Now, as a person who chose not to have children, these types of dreams often send me into panic mode - no! I refuse to have maternal urges at this late date! But really I don't feel any more maternal when I wake up - I just like little kids. And then I like to give them back.

So thanks to (Evie?) for a warm & fuzzy moment! The Bughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07509037206264761261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3273800057741815241.post-87174228982375210142009-12-14T14:34:19.198-05:002009-12-14T14:34:19.198-05:00I know Odelia Trixie (my CPK) is stashed away some...I know Odelia Trixie (my CPK) is stashed away somewhere in my parents' house. Given how much trouble and expense they went through to get her, she should probably be encased in glass and displayed in a place of honor.

Flash forward 25 years--Mom found two contemporary CPK dolls, still in their boxes, at our church's rummage sale a year or two ago and bought them for the girls for about $10 total. My, what fickle tastes we have!

I'm still sure my stash of Beanie Babies is going to be worth something someday, though! ;-)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06679511513052758504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3273800057741815241.post-40554059974206351222009-12-13T15:14:31.944-05:002009-12-13T15:14:31.944-05:00My mom's still got my original CPK. I have a Tickle Me Elmo (the TMX one) also NIB in the closet. I bought it two years ago thinking I could make some money selling it on eBay, but never got around to it. David has a Furby at his parents house, but nobody ever wants to play with that annyoing thing!

As for the Zhu Zhu pet....well, I've got a mouse living under my sink that is probably a reasonable substitute for this holiday best seller!Jenni Mackeynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3273800057741815241.post-38680015461754948042009-11-22T12:58:27.764-05:002009-11-22T12:58:27.764-05:00No problem, Rob.
